Involved in the areas of drug investigations, Varun Naidu supervised seven constables in relations to investigations of these drugs. These included indoor marijuana grow operations and drug trafficking. Being a supervisor, he provided an oversight on all the investigations and developed strategies with his team to reduce the impacts of drugs in the community through education, enforcement and community partnerships. Besides, Varun has been the inspector in charge of Operational Support Branch where he managed Traffic Section, Vulnerable Sector, Community Policing, Victim Services, Community Relations, and School Liaison Units. Formerly being the part of Emergency Response Team, Varun Naidu conducted high order operations that fell outside the skills, knowledge, and abilities of regular members such as warrant service, barricaded persons and hostage rescue. Thereafter, he was selected as the team leader of the Emergency Response Team where he supervised all the tactical operations and coordinated training.
