Varun Naidu is a hands-on expertise in Delta Police Department

Formerly being the part of Emergency Response Team, Varun Naidu conducted high order operations that fell outside the skills, knowledge, and abilities of regular members such as warrant service, barricaded persons and hostage rescue. Thereafter, he was selected as the team leader of the Emergency Response Team where he supervised all the tactical operations and coordinated training.

Possessing proficiency as a supervisor, Varun Naidu formerly supervised the Patrol shift as the Staff Sergeant Watch Commander at Delta Police department. Here, he was responsible for a team of seventeen constables and two sergeants conducting the patrol and uniform functions. He considered it his responsibility to provide the field support and guidance on all the investigative and administrative matters along with the drafting and delivering the performance evaluations. 

Varun has been the Acting Inspector at the Patrol Division where he served as the in charge of Patrol Division. He managed first response priorities and services to the community. Apart from this, he supervised four platoon shifts consisting of approximately 80 officers.

Holding great skills in conflict resolution, Varun Naidu is overall a hands-on expertise and a part of Delta Police Department. With a vast experience in operational policing, he served at multiple positions with a diverse background in Patrol Division, Drug Section, Criminal Investigation Branch, Emergency Response, Team, and Community Policing. 

Possessing extensive expertise in operational policing, Varun was involved in conducting drug investigations. He supervised constables as a Sergeant at Delta Police Drug Section. Acting as the supervisor, he provided an insight on all the investigations and developed the strategies to reduce the impact of drugs in the community through education, and community partnerships. 

In September 2017, Varun served in Inspector Strategic Services Branch where he conducted reviews and coordinated special projects for the Department. He also supervised the Emergency Management Section and the Victim Services Unit. 

Pertaining to his education credentials, Varun Naidu graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Education. Pertaining to the awards he has received, he won the Oliver Thompson Memorial Award at the Police Academy.
