Varun Naidu conducted reviews and coordinated special projects for the Department

High focused at promoting the problem solving and police-community partnership in order to address the causes that of crime and fear as well as other community issues, community policing is considered an effective way to promote the public safety and to enhance the quality of life in a community. Possessing a solid experience of many years in operational policing at Delta Police Department, Varun Naidu is highly competent in Community Policing, Patrol Division, Drug Section, Criminal Investigation Branch, and Emergency Response Team. 

As an expertise in operational policing, Varun holds a proven record of leading teams to meet the strategic direction of an organization through change management philosophies and respect. 

 Varun formerly served as a sergeant in Delta Police Drug Section where he supervised seven constables in the areas of drug investigations. It included indoor marijuana grow operations and drug trafficking. Besides, he provided oversight on all the investigations and developed strategies within the team in order to reduce the impact of drugs in the community through education, enforcement and community partnership.

Formerly serving as the Acting Inspector at Patrol Division, Varun Naidu served as the in charge of Patrol Division. He managed first response priorities and services to the community. Apart from this, he supervised four platoon shifts consisting of approximately 80 officers.

Being the member of Criminal Investigation Branch in 2001, Varun Naidu conducted drug and major case management. He also served the role of primary investigator and file coordinator in files including marijuana grow operations, homicides, and other violent offences. 

In 2017, Varun Naidu served in Inspector Services Branch where he conducted reviews and coordinated special projects for the Department. Additionally, he supervised the Emergency Management Section and the Victim Services Unit. 

During his free time, Varun Naidu loves to watch sports especially NFL. Besides, he regularly goes to gym and has travelled a lot along with his family.

Regarding his education accreditations, Varun graduated from the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Education. He has received various awards during his tenure as he won the Oliver Thompson Memorial Award at the Police Academy.
